Body Details: Mahogany back and sides with spruce top. The top has a few repaired cracks. There is an “S-63” date stamp visible inside the body.

Neck Details: Mahogany neck with bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, dot inlays, and headstock truss rod adjustment. The neck has been reset; there is a small gap between the body and the very bottom of the heel, but the neck is secure.

Hardware: The bridge has been replaced, and a new saddle has been made.

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar shows plenty of nice aging, with finish checking and signs of heavy use present. The top has numerous pick scratches, dings, and several repaired cracks; the footprint of the original bridge is also visible. The sides and back of the body have additional scratches and dings. The back of the neck is glossy and smooth, with a few small dings. There is a larger ding on the back of the neck at the 2nd fret.

Modifications/Repairs: -The neck has been reset-The bridge has been replaced and subsequently reglued-A new saddle has been made-Several repaired top cracks

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and is currently set up with 12-53 phosphor bronze strings. The truss rod is adjustable. The narrow frets are medium-low, getting lower towards the tongue, and show some light wear. The “S-63” stamp in the soundhole indicates the guitar was built during the summer of 1963.
