Hardware: The nut and saddle have been replaced for fretted playing. The bridge pins have been replaced. The rest of the hardware appears to be original.

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has moderate play wear. It is in very good condition for its age. The top of the body has light checking and scuffs and scratches. The back and sides are cleaner than the top, but still have checking and scuffs and scratches throughout. There are various dents and blemishes on the headstock and the back of the neck. There is a very slight hairline crack in between the bridge pins on the top of the bridge. This is not affecting playability. A small hole has been drilled in the back of the headstock for a strap or wall hanger.

Comments: -The guitar plays well with medium/low action. The frets are tall with minimal play wear. -This was originally built as a Hawaiian style guitar with fret markers flush with the fingerboard. At some point it was converted for fretted playing. -The factory order number dates to 1935.
