Tech Notes: Currently, set up with 10-gauge strings, medium-low to low action, and optimal neck relief. The bridge has limited downward adjustability on the bass side. The intonation adjustability is limited as the treble side bolt is seized. Regardless, the guitar sets up and plays well. The medium frets show little to no play wear.– The Factory Order Code Letter dates this Gibson from 1956. The presence of the embossed FON on the back of the headstock suggests this guitar was sent back to the factory for warranty work sometime in the late 50’s or 60’s. It appears this guitar was re-necked at the Gibson factory in the 1960s.
